Here is one of the best definitions of mindfulness we’ve run across recently:

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.

So... if a person is feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stressed out, one of the best things they can do for themselves is engage in a mindfulness activity.  The resources listed below are for both individuals wanting to incorporate mindfulness activities into their lives and for practitioners working with clients that could benefit from learning mindfulness skills.
