Barbara G. Feinberg, MS, MSSA, LISW-S, IMFT has a masters degree in special education, and a second masters degree in social work. She is a clinical social worker independently licensed in social work and marriage and family therapy. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT). Clinical membership in AAMFT is based on meeting certain training and experience requirements. In her private practice, Barbara focuses on managing transitions, those facing or wanting to make an important decision, professionals seeking to balance their professional and personal lives, money and relationships and building interpersonal communication skills. She has worked with many clients who are thinking about ending a committed relationship, involved in breaking up and trying to move forward after their relationships have ended. Always practical, her approach is a blend of collaborative problem-solving, life coaching and psychotherapy techniques. Her long-standing interest in the emotional impact of money on relationships is reflected in Breaking Up Is Hard to Do, particularly in the last two chapters and the Glossary of Terms.
