Use a calm, quiet voice and\u00a0pause a few seconds at the end of each sentence. Your\u00a0listeners will need plenty of time to enjoy every step of\u00a0the experience without feeling hurried.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to end each activity with some gentle suggestions\u00a0such as, \u201cBegin to stretch like a cat; open your eyes very\u00a0slowly; come back to a sitting position when you feel\u00a0ready.\u201d For the guided imagery activities I recommend a\u00a0warm, carpeted area and low lights.<\/p>\n<p>I suggest doing all these activities yourself before trying\u00a0them with others.<\/p>\n<p>These directions serve only as a guide for the reader. You\u00a0may want to change the wording or the length of the\u00a0activity. Use your creativity to expand these images as<br \/>\nyou wish.<\/p>\n<p>You may want to tape record the directions and\/or play\u00a0quiet music in the background.<\/p>\n<p>Many of these activities can lead very naturally into\u00a0creative writing and art experiences.
