{"id":3774,"date":"2024-06-24T01:33:36","date_gmt":"2024-06-24T07:33:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wholeperson.com\/blog\/?p=3774"},"modified":"2024-06-24T01:33:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-24T07:33:39","slug":"grounding-and-releasing-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wholeperson.com\/blog\/grounding-and-releasing-exercise","title":{"rendered":"A Grounding and Releasing Exercise"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The following practice will support you and another (partner, friend, client) to ground and release charge when activation is present.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time Required: 10 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Invite those present to sit with their feet flat on the floor, spines relaxed and neutral, and hands resting on their upper thighs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take a few deep, slow breaths, allowing tension in the body to release.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take turns slowly naming the sensations you notice where your hands are in contact with your legs (i.e., tingling, warmth, pulsing). Do this for a couple of minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After several rounds of slow sharing, take a few more deep, slow breaths, allowing tension in the body to release.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Move awareness to your feet on the floor and take turns slowly naming the sensations present there (i.e., heaviness, flow, tightness). Do this for a couple of minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take a few deep, slow breaths, allowing tension in the body to release.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring awareness to your whole body, noticing the boundary of your skin. Take turns slowly naming sensations in the body, continuing to breathe together.
